Checker Cab has been a huge participant in Clean Cities - Atlanta. They were
part of the successful partnership between the national Clean Cities Program,
the Gas Research Institute (GRI), Clean Cities - Atlanta, Atlanta Gas Light
Company, and Ford Motor Company to increase the number of NGVs and natural gas
refueling stations in Atlanta and increase public awareness of NGVs. Through a
$100,000 grant awarded by GRI, all of the players in Atlanta were able to put
together a successful project introducing brand new Crown Victoria dedicated
natural gas cabs, and 2 on-site refueling station.
